In today's NY Times, Paul Krugman discusses the flight of money from emerging markets, worries about its effects, and attributes the current flight to deregulation.

But the flood of money into emerging markets the past few years has arguably stemmed from the search for yield as central banks printed money for large banks to use but provided them with no return via ZIRP.
